Escaping from the summer heat

As one of our summer escapades, our family and our friends decided to cool it off in the Summer Capital of the Philippines. A great way to beat the scorching summer heat -- which goes up to 36 degrees Celsius.

Baguio is just a four to five hour drive from Manila. Because of its altitude, which is about 1,600 meters above sea level, it has a temperate climate of about 14°C - 22°C during the summer. It is quite a perfect getaway if you really want to cool down and relax.

We even managed to warm ourselves during the night by the fireplace. Quite cozy if I may say so. It's not all the time you can use a fireplace in tropical country like ours. It's unlike the modern fireplaces today, this old fireplace is very homey. Oh, If I could just stay a little longer but we got work to go back to. At least, we get to enjoy the cool summer breeze of Baguio... Till next time.

Audio Monitors

I just love it when I see my kids loving music so much. Recently, I asked my son to sync my music to my iPad and I was surprised to see that he also included new hits. He knows that I would love to hear these songs and I really appreciated the thought. After that, his dad also asked if he could have his fave 80's songs in his iPhone and voila! There it was! As a sign of appreciation, his dad let him have his old blackberry phone. He was so delighted.

Now, I am thinking of buying him a nice speaker or audio monitors like m-audio studiopro 3. Especially now that he's also into playing the piano. Just like his dad, he can listen to a song and play it (on the piano) even without the notes or chords, merely by listening. I'm amazed or is it just the mother in me? As a mom, I love to reward my kids for their hard work or by simply trying.

Thankful for fun-filled summer

I recently went on vacation with my kids and their friends. We went to the beach. Yes, Boracay no less! Not being a sun worshiper, I try to be because my kids are adrenaline junkies. They love adventure. The highlight of their vacation was the para-sailing. I had to accompany them in the speed boat since they both are minors.

Looking at them hanging 100 feet above, I just couldn't help but smile. All I can think of is I am so grateful that my kids have this opportunity to go  on a vacation and try all sorts of things. As a young kid, I never got the chance.

I kept on thanking the Lord for all the blessings we have ... I am overwhelmed. Their happiness is simply undeniable ... these are the things that money cannot buy. And that is just the beginning of another fun-filled summer for them.

God of all blessings, source of all life, giver of all grace, we give you thanks. Amen.

Office Manager

Now that I am a Licensed Real Estate Broker, I can be a freelance practitioner and at the same time help hubby in the administration of his office, which is most important since this business is our bread and butter. I have heeded to my husband's request that I help him with his business and with his new office, it is just about right that I consider.

It has been three months now since my hubby and his partner have set-up the new office and I am the designated Office Manager. I am taking care of all administrative functions, the procurement and sourcing of materials like the one in www.reidsupply.com and all the paper works needed for all their projects.

Now, I am officially an Office Manager.

Dreaming of Paris

One of the things I in my bucket list is to the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Oh yes! I know one of these days I shall be visiting Paris.

I am saving up for it and now I am scouting for cheap fares and hotels so I know how much moolah I will have to save.

Hubby is with me on this dream of mine. Who wouldn't? I checked this site for some info click luxury rentals paris and searching for some more sites to give more information.

I envy my youngest sister, who took the photo here. She was part of a Glee Club who represented the Philippines in a chorale fest and she was able to visit a lot of country in Europe, it was not for free though cause we needed to get some sponsors for her travel. Lucky girl!

Anyway, soon I tell ya... I'll have my own stories and photo of this lovely place.
