Everyday is Mother’s Day!

I was browsing though the photos on my laptop, when I saw this folder of our Mother’s Day lunch. I realized I was not able to share what we did on that special day. It maybe quite late but I guess every day is a Mother’s Day!

Well, it was nothing fancy! Me and my younger sister, Doris, just planned a lunch in Tagaytay. So, she made reservation at The Boutique Bed and Breakfast - where they have Tagaytay City's Hawaiian Bar-B-Que for their restaurant.

It was the least we can do for our mom, who is a couch potato. She hardly ever go out except to hear mass in Megamall. See? She even hears mass inside the mall so she doesn't have to go anywhere after the mass. Prayer and malling -- rolled into one! Hahaha.

It was a treat from us, her kids -- except of course, for our youngest sister, Rina Joy, who is still studying.

The food was exquisite. My hubby really enjoyed the steak and I specifically love their Bouillabaisse Soup, it's a creamy soup with assorted seafoods. We all enjoyed the meal.

After lunch, we stopped by the chapel of the Pink Sisters to say our prayers and of course, to thank the Lord for all the blessing and most specially the gift of family.

Two days after the lunch, I received a call from mom telling me how she appreciated the effort. That despite dad's absence, she's so glad that we, her kids, are all here for here. Oh, mom! It made me want to cry but I have to have to hold back the tears. She's going to be emotional again!

(For a little bit of history, we all grew up without our Dad. At first, he was just an ordinary father trying his luck in the land of milk and honey butt now he is currently living his own life in the U.S.)

agree with you SassyMom, everyday should be mother's day. life is too short to waste, so while we have our mothers to hold still, let's always show them how much we loved them.

Hi Salen. Thanks for sharing the nice Mother's Day treat you gave your mom. Quality time with the family is a wonderful gift by itself. Glad you all had a memorable time.

Hi Salen, belated happy mother's day! :D Anyway, off topic, your layout's nice!!! Though in Firefox, it has to have some more tweaking. I don't know if it's just a glitch. So I checked it in IE7, it looks great there!
