For this week's Food Trip Friday, I am sharing with you vanilla cupcakes that my daughter and I made.Just last Friday, my kids and I craved for some cupcakes. Since their classes were suspended, due to a typhoon. It's perfect to have a bonding time.I do not have an original recipe of vanilla cupcake and I find it very convenient to browse through Martha Stewart's website and voila! A perfect cupcake.
I baked the cupcakes and my daughter was the one who prepared the Butter cream frosting. It turned out pretty well. My hubby, who is not a sweet tooth loved it and had his friends taste it too. The recipe is good for 30 cupcakes, that's why my kids were able to bring it to school for snack come Monday and even my mom and siblings were able to taste it during our visit last Saturday.

Wow. A sweet vanilla cupcakes. :)
@ Willa: I'm influencing my daughter to have a certain fondness to cooking. It's different when you know your way in the kitchen.
@Enchie : agree, ako din gustom nagluluto pag complete kami sa house.
@Clarissa : The cupcakes turned very good indeed.
Lulu: my daughter is already a teenager kaya I have to have more bonding time with her kasi malapit na akong ipagpalit sa friends niya.
@ Skywind: thanks!
i think its a great bonding moment when mother and daughter cook/bake together. but thinking back, it was always stressful when my mom taught me how to cook (lol). she wanted her own way of doing things and i wanted to reinvent the wheel.:P
it looks delicious :)
have a great day ;)
One of the frustrations ko ang mag-bake. Looks yummy ang cupcake na ginawa niyo. Your daughter pala loves to bake. :-)
@ Luna: I guess my daughter also has her own ways of doing things, just like this cupcake frosting, I just let her be.
@Teen Supermodels: thanks for dropping vy.
@Yami: Actually, I am trying to influence her to learn how to cook and bake.
Bonding moments in the kitchen that is so sweet.I love to cook and for me the best talaga pag kumpleto kami sa bahay mas lalo akong ginaganahan mag luto.Maybe five years from now makaka bonding ko narin ang mga kids ko sa kitchen.Thank you for sharing, love your post, nakaka inspire...

Your cupcakes are tempting. Me too even if Joaqui is a boy, he is familiar with the kitchen and he often imitates me when I'm cooking. I will not mind if he wants to be a chef someday ; )
