After a hefty dinner to celebrate my youngest sister's birthday at ZHU Chinese Cuisine, Hubs ordered taho for everyone. This snack is made up of soft bean curd or tofu with sago (tapioca pearls) and sugar syrup with vanilla. Not only is it a very delicious snack it is also a good alternative to a protein rich meat meal.

My kids enjoyed serving themselves with Taho. A very different approach from what they have gotten used to. Hubs love Taho so much and buys it every weekend from the street vendor, no wonder he cannot resist raving about this authentic Chinese Taho. Well, after tasting it, I would have to agree with him.

I was wondering why they are serving Taho in a Chinese Restaurant and my research proved that Taho traces its origin to China. Taho can be enjoyed with a spoon or by simply slurping it straight from the cup or bowl but since we are in a restaurant, we go by the civilized way.
