Bonding Time is my Mommy Moment

mommy moments

For a SAHM like me every day is bonding time, so everyday is a mommy moment. But then, raising kids with very different personalities, you get to discern what is truly your Mommy Moment with your kids.

With my teenager, who at this stage feels more comfortable on her own and with friends, my special and fave mommy moment would be our kikay moments. This is where I get to share fab tips about fashion and style. Shopping for her clothes while she asks for my approval, asking me what to wear, my opinion on what she's wearing or just simply being there for her in all her activities.

In the photo below, you can see us having our make up done simultaneously. During the course of that hair and make up session ... she is consistently asking if the style she wants is okay, if her make up is nice. Although I am still having a hard time accepting that my baby is now a lady, I still find it cute that she constantly asks for my approval.

Kikay Moment

This is us ... hours after our make up session.

On the other hand, I still savor the "baby" in my ten year old... For soon he will grow up and would find his own ways. I know that time will be sooner than I expected but for now, he is still my baby. He knows how to win my heart ... just look at the photo below.

This is what I love about having a daughter - go hataw with girl stuff. Your boy is adorable too. Well, our kids will always be our babies even when they're 60 :)

Now, I want a daughter!!! =) Must be so cool to shop together and share kikay tips with each other. My mom and I used to do that.

My sons also kiss and hug me tight whenever they want something. hahah

Happy Mommy Moments!

reading your post today almost made my tears fall.. i cant imagine what it would be like to have tweens and teenagers yet.. but i dont want to look back and regret missing out the days when my kids were still small... this is what made me become a SAHM in the first place...

i know time passes by so fast and one day, when they have grown... i hope that my kids would still want my approval and love spending time with me...

thank you for sharing today... mommy!

cant wait for my girl to grow but i also i dont want her to grow up yet at the same time. Pero ang sarap siguro ng bonding ng mag-ina when it comes to shopping and beauty, lalo na pag love na pinag-uusapan. Im thankful that my mom made bawi to us when we're grown ups na.. we became closer dati kasi takot ako sa kanya lol

Anyway, happy weekends sa inyo..
