Let’s talk about lights

The prospect of having our own home easily excites me. It will be a dream come true for me and my family.
And since it has long been my dream, I must admit I already have a picture in my mind of what my house would look like and have considered everything including the lighting.

Being an architect’s wife, I have seen how my husband’s works, especially residential, transform superbly with proper lighting. It creates the desired atmosphere, sets the mood and enhances the color of the furniture and walls.

I have done some research and even Feng Shui experts believe in the power of light. In Feng Shui, light is a good source of energy. In this article, it talks about how both natural and artificial lighting - greatly influences the quality of your home energy.

Lighting does not only accentuate your home, it should also meet the practical needs. For instance, in the kitchen where you need concentrated and directional light, you will need a task light. For some areas of your home, you may need to control lights with a dimmer system. This way you can control the brightness of the room and set the right mood whenever you want.

You see there’s more to lighting than just a single a single fluorescent light stuck on your wall. The lighting scheme in your home will reflect your style and character. No matter what type of brand, whether it’s Seagull lighting, Philips and other known lighting manufacturers. There are so many options to choose from, you just need to consider your needs and of course, select the ones that will fulfill your taste. Consider both practical and aesthetic aspect of your lighting fixture in choosing.
