Growing up, I always imagined myself driving my own car. It was not until last year that hubs decided to give me my own and I realized I do not have the competency to drive. I know some of you will raise your eyebrows but its true!
Out of necessity, hubs gave me the car so I can easily run errands for the business and since then I opted to stop the school bus and share the vehicle with my kids and decided to have a driver.
Driving a car is not just all about driving but now I realized the necessity to maintain it. Aside from the gasoline consumption, you have the regular oil checks, tune up, battery, fluid and just recently I changed the whole set of four tires and I was shocked at the cost. Now, I know why hubs would not let me use his car before!
I can now imagine how it would cost to maintain a luxury car such as Porsche, Expedition and Ferrari. I would probably faint at the cost of any of those original Ferrari parts.
As compared before when I dreamed of having an SUV, but with all those maintenance cost – I will now stick to my fuel efficient small car.
